The Pleasanton City Council voted unanimously last week to approve plans to redesign Lions Wayside and Delucchi parks, including moving the bandstand closer to the Firehouse Arts Center and renovate it to look more like a gazebo .

Stockton City Council, SJ County Supervisors to discuss COVID-19 issues

Stockton City Council discussions at its regular meeting Tuesday evening included issues such as additional federal COVID-19 funding, a homeless housing grant and the renovation of McKinley Park. A resolution to accept an Enterprise Community Partners philanthropic grant of more than $680,000 to cover the operating costs of Town Center Studios, new housing for chronically homeless Stockton and San Joaquin County residents, was included in the meeting s consent agenda. The city received a $4.3 million state grant, which included the philanthropic funding, in September through Project Homekey. The $600 million program gives funding for purchasing and rehabilitate housing, including hotels, motels, vacant apartment buildings and other properties, and convert them into permanent, long-term housing for people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.

City of Emeryville, California The City of Emeryville, California has been planning a pedestrian-bicycle bridge to better connect trails and parks, and to avoid busy vehicle traffic.  The bridge was lifted into place in December 2020 by crews who worked for three days on the delicate operation of moving the structure. Watch the time lapse video: Biggs Cardosa Associates, HNTB, Callander & Associates, MNS Engineers and Ghilotti Construction are working on the $21.4 million project.  History of the Project The bridge has been in the Emeryville General Plan since the 1980s, with the plan to provide a safe pedestrian-bicycle connection linking the east and west sides of the city over the railroad tracks.
