PLEASANTON — The city has begun a review of its water responsibilities by developing a Water System Management Plan intended to help leaders better plan for future expenses.
The Pleasanton City Council gave city staff the green light Tuesday to continue working with outside consultants to garner public input on the possibility of the city pursuing a revenue measure with voters next year.
While many Pleasanton residents might not be happy with their water bills increasing starting next year, some community members said they are also mad about how the final public hearing went down last week.
Pleasanton residents can expect to see an increase in their water bill starting in January after the City Council voted to raise the rates over the next two years following a contentious discussion and many residents in opposition.
