The annual event, which was held virtually Wednesday, May 12, introduces local eighth-grade students to a variety of job opportunities and industry experts to help guide them toward their future careers. The virtual event was open to students from school districts across the region, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency. A grant from Stryker Corp. allowed the event to continue virtually amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the release said.

Adrian schools to consider hiring law firm to make policy updates

ADRIAN The process of updating school policy and student handbook information could begin after today s meeting of the Adrian Public Schools Board of Education. The school board could approve a purchase and business agreement with Thrun Law Firm of East Lansing, after the firm informed the board some of its handbook policies might not be up to date with state regulations.
