KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI From healthcare to welding to engineering, the MiCareerQuest Southwest career discovery event had something for every student.
The annual event, which was held virtually Wednesday, May 12, introduces local eighth-grade students to a variety of job opportunities and industry experts to help guide them toward their future careers.
The virtual event was open to students from school districts across the region, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency. A grant from Stryker Corp. allowed the event to continue virtually amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the release said.
