Tallahassee, Fla, – The number two ranked Florida State Seminoles started their annual FSU Beach Bash with a 3-0 record defeating Coastal Carolina, No. 13 Cal Poly, and No. 20 Washington. The Seminoles went unbeaten in all but one game played today. The Seminoles move to 1-0 against Coastal Carolina, 7-0 against Cal Poly and 1-0 against Washington. FSU 5, Coastal Carolina 0 The Seminoles came out ready for their first dual of the season, winning every set against the Chanticleers. The Seminoles spared no time winning the first set on all courts. Courts one, two, and four dominated, refusing to allow Coastal Carolina to take the lead in either set. Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkhoff won quickly with set one 21-14 and set two 21-12 on court one. Alexis Durish and Raelyn White won 21-13 in both sets on court two. Gulf Shores, Ala. – The fifth-seed Florida State Seminoles (29-9) defeated 12th-seed Cal Poly 3-2 in the single elimination round at the NCAA Championship Tournament. The Seminoles will take on fourth seed LMU on Friday, May 6th at 11:00 AM EST.

The Seminoles advance to the round of eight after a very close dual with Cal Poly. Florida State had an advantage over the Mustangs, winning the first set on courts two through five. The Mustangs fought back to make the match interesting, forcing courts three and five to three sets. Kate Privett and Anna Long kept the Seminole’s postseason alive with a 15-13 win in the third set.
Florida State got the scoring started with a two-set win on court four. Huntsville, Ala. – The fourth-ranked Florida State Seminoles (26-8) started their quest for the CCSA Championship with a 5-0 sweep over No. 6 LSU. The Seminoles will advance to the next round in the winner’s bracket tomorrow at 1:30 PM EST against No. 2 TCU.

The Seminoles remain undefeated against the Tigers this season, defeating LSU by the largest margin this year. Florida State became the only team to sweep the Tigers so far this season and improve the all-time series lead to 16-2.
Redshirt senior duo, Madison Fitzpatrick and Alaina Chacon earned the first match point for the Seminoles on court two. The pair made easy work of the Tigers, defeating them in two sets 21-19, 21-16.
Morgan Chacon and Jordan Polo kept the momentum going with another two-set win over LSU. On court four, the pair defeated the Tigers 21-14 in the first set. Chacon and Polo fought through extra points to seal the win 25-23.

Deland, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Seminoles (9-2) finished the weekend 2-1 after defeating No. 18 Stetson 3–2 on a chilly Sunday morning. FSU 3, Stetson 2 Florida State continues their perfect dominance over Stetson, improving their series lead to 17-0. Four of the five courts went to a tie-breaking third set during today’s match. Raelyn White and Kate Privett went undefeated on the weekend on court five. The pair defeated Stetson quickly 21-16 in the first set before falling in the second set 21-19. The pair came back and won the third set 15-11. Jordan Polo and Caitlin Moon fought back on court four after an early deficit to win their match in three sets. The pair dropped the first set 21-18 before winning the next two 21-13, 15-13. The match-clinching point was provided by Alaina Chacon and Madison Fitzpatrick on court two.
