They stole her purse. The first incident was sunday, july 12th around 2 00 that morning. The suspects approached two men in their 20s walking up to the corner store. It was in a chevy malibu. They identified themselves as police, flashed guns, and searched them they stole 300 from them, and then they drove off. Later that night, the two approached a woman and stole her purse, and they said a Good Samaritan tried to step in and help, and thats when the second suspect tried to be a Good Samaritan himself, interfering, allowing both men to get away. Then they robbed a teenager. Police are looking for the sketch of the man we showed you earlier. All we know is the two men got away in the heavy mal boot. Reporter trapped on the second floor, several people in 109 washington avenue in little ferry were saved by firefighters and police around 11 30 last night when the building caught fire. Driving down the road, and as i was passing this house, i heard a big pop. It was some type of explosion. Not sure if it came from the garage or the cars parked in the driveway, then the whole house was engulfed in flames. Reporter lieutenant chris bowles says when he he could see was black smoke engulfing the building an he ran to help. Just started trying to break some windows and victims just start jumping out windows and pulled several people out of the building. Reporter you can see dozens of neighbors standing in panic as victims are taken away on stretchers. The lieutenant says fathers were dropping children down to him from the second floor window.
