Yanks reliever throws 4 wild pitches in 10th, Red Sox rally

BOSTON (AP) It took most of a rainy night at Fenway Park for the Red Sox to find their offense. It took one wild inning by reliever Brooks Kriske for the Yankees to squander an opportunity to gain valuable ground on their longtime rivals.
Kiké Hernández hit a two-run double that tied the game with two outs in the ninth inning, and Boston took advantage of a record four wild pitches by Kriske in the 10th to rally past New York 5-4 on Thursday.
“That’s why you play until the last out is made,” Hernández said. “Pitchers did a good job of keeping us in the game.”

The Yankees have had a good roadtrip thus far, winning four of six games, and they’ll try to make it better on Wednesday night when they face the Baltimore Orioles in the third game of a four-game series.
First pitch at Oriole Park is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The game will be televised by YES.
The pitching matchup is Yankees right-hander Domingo German (1-2, 6.23) vs. Orioles righty Drew Kremer (0-1, 6.75)

Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is making up for hitting for a low average and striking out a lot by being very productive.
Stanton produced again during his first at-bat on Sunday by lining an opposite-field, second-inning homer into the right field seats at Yankee Stadium for an early 1-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays.
With Rays opener Andrew Kittredge pitching, Stanton belted a 1-2, 94-mph sinker that was left up out for his third homer and 12th RBI in 13 games. He began the day batting .167 with 16 strikeouts in 48 at-bats.
