Favourites reigned supreme in the Buckeye Stallion Series opening leg for three-year-old filly trotters and pacers at Miami Valley Gaming on Wednesday, May 1.
The horses lined up for the final time this winter at Batavia Downs on Monday and the card featured a $16,216 conditioned pace that was won by Ball Diamond, who claimed her second win of the year.
Docs Boo Boo, the only trotter sired by Downbytheseaside, won for the second time this year in the Buckeye Stallion Series as she opened the fourth leg for three-year-old filly trotters Friday night (July 14) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
Five divisions of three-year-old filly trotters opened the first leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series (BSS) on Sunday, April 30 at Miami Valley Raceway. Each division carried a purse of $20,000.
It was a long grind but Fond Memories ($9.80) eventually got the job done in Buffalo Raceway's $17,500 Open Pace for the fillies and mares on Wednesday night (March 29) with a three-quarter-length victory over Miss Rockadali in 1:58.2 over the "good" track.
