The horses lined up for the final time this winter at Batavia Downs on Monday and the card featured a $16,216 conditioned pace that was won by Ball Diamond, who claimed her second win of the year.
The third leg of the Western New York Trackmaster series for pacers was featured at Batavia Downs on Monday afternoon (Feb. 5) and going in, there were three horses still undefeated in that competition. However by the end of the day, only one stayed perfect and that was Long Train Runnin, who won his third straight $9,000 Trackmaster 79 division.
A sloppy track combined with heavy snow that started to fall after the third race provided some messy going at Batavia Downs on Thursday afternoon (Jan. 11), but it didn’t take away from competitive racing and several very close finishes.
It may have been April Fool's Day on Saturday (April 1) but CR Blazin Beauty didn't fool around in Buffalo Raceway's $17,500 Open Trot as the lone mare in the event handled the seven gentlemen sidewinders by 4-1/2 lengths in 2:01.1 over the "sloppy" track.
Credit List made a step up in class to Buffalo Raceway's $17,500 Open Trot on Saturday night (March 25) and he was equal to the tougher task by taking a neck victory over Castyourcrown in 2:00.0 over a "sloppy" track.
