Suspect vehicle found in hit-and-run crash that injured children

STURGIS, Mich. â The suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured three children Monday in Branch County has been found thanks to a citizenâs tip, Michigan State Police said Tuesday.
The recovered vehicle was a silver 2005 Chevy Equinox and has been impounded for further investigation.
MSP identified the driver as a 42-year-old Sturgis man.
Heâs currently cooperating with the investigation.
Authorities still need to finish investigating the vehicle for any additional evidence as well as the driverâs personal cell phone and consensual sample of his blood.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. â A health foundation has already raised over $9 million in elevating cancer care at Bronson hospitals to support patients across the area, and now the public can help too.
It has been about two years since Bronson Health Foundation initiated a fundraising effort in hopes to raise $8 million to support cancer care and patients.
Since then, they ve raised over that amount, establishing a new cancer center in Kalamazoo, reinvesting in the cancer center in Battle Creek and building a more supportive future for children at the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic.
