Several cars drove through that scene prior to chp arriving there and probably suffered from damage. Our maintenance crews are on scene now filling the pot hole. We do have the left three lanes closed. But were working to get them open as quickly as possible. We appreciate everyones patience as we work to repair the pot hole. In the south bay, another person was hit by the light rail train this morning. Officials say a man on a bike went through a pedestrian gate. Hit by a winchesterbound train. Im told many of them are choosing to sleep outside because of the continuing aftershocks. During the briefing today, city Officials Say that they are making Good Progress in inspecting a lot of the damage across ridgecrest, but their big concern is they just dont know when the Regional Hospital is going to fully reopen. Meanwhile, theres lots of people in ridgecrest that are trying to get back to normal. We are an isolated community. There are about 100 people checked inside, and as you can see, some people are preferring to stay outside because of all the shaking. Now the shaking started on july 4th, as you well know, something people that i talked to will never forget. For many people who lived through these backtoback earthquakes, at night its hard to sleep. Five minutes ago the backup heading southbound started to ease up after a deadly crash. We are live near the scene. What do chp officers have to say . I mean, its making a bigger push but 5060s on the temps we also have some high and midlevel clouds coming in.
