We see a big header of smoke right there, that is another fire in the northeast section of the ridge above the sonoma valley. So two major fires burning here. A major firefighter is now on to protect all of the homes in the area. Lets bring in captain tony mchale with cal fire. Tony, any containment on these fires right now . Theres no reports of containment right now. It is a tense situation up here. We have a lot of active fires you can see on the hillside there. Its established, pretty heavy fuels, a lot of timber up there, plus some slope. We had some pretty heavy winds this morning. Evening to see some of the light rain moving into northern Sonoma County and then as we go into tonight, some of the heavier downpours moving in, into some of those wild fire ravaged areas and San Francisco with lighter rain tonight and making its way into parts of the peninsula as well as the east bay and into san jose shortly before midnight, youll hear some of that rain coming down through the roof and also breezy winds.
