Mumbai: Mumbai civic body, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to spend Rs 1,600 crore on redeveloping roads spanning 157 km over the next year.
According to the new proposal, to name a few, some of the busiest roads such as CP Tank Road and Kalbadevi Road, Link Road, SV Road, Lake Road, and Valji Ladha Road in the financial capital will get repair. In the fiscal year, More than 90% of these roads, which are meant to be repaired, will be upgraded to cement concrete in the FY 2021-22. Out of 157 km, 145-km roads will be repaired with cement concrete and the remaining 12-km roads will be repaired with asphalt.

Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is all set to implement the biggest vaccination drive in the maximum city on January 16th. Vaccines from the Pune Centre of Maharashtra arrived today by road to the Lower Parel Facility. Mumbai will open 9 centres in the city to vaccinate over 1.25 lakh health workers whose data has already been stored by the state government. BMC has prepared a facility of vaccinating 12.5 thousand health workers in a day to complete the vaccination of the health workers in around a week.

Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation halts awarding contract to a suspected firm. The firm that Mumbai civic body had shortlisted for a hospital contract had allegedly been blacklisted for two years by a medical institute in Chandigarh in 2019. The municipal corporation has sought details about the firm from the Chandigarh institute.
MDD Medical Systems (India) Pvt Ltd company has been blacklisted by the institute, BMC has asked the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) institute about the details. The firm has been shortlisted by Mumbai civic body to repair and maintain medical gas pipelines at the HBT Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari this year.
