Fire. It is considered accidental. Arson has now been officiallt ruled out. Four people died in that fire. Four others, including two children were hospitalized with injuries. Dozens of people lost their homes in that fire that started raging early monday morning in on san pablo morning in on early monday morning in on san pablo avenue in west oakland. The three Story Building was transitional housing to people who had been homeless or recovering addicts. Just three days before the fire, City Building inspectors found multiple fire code violations, including sprinklers and smoke alarms that did not work.
