Aster Medcity sets up field hospital in Kochi for Covid patients May 19, 2021 Geojit Foundation has funded the initiative with ₹75 lakh Aster Medcity has set up a 100-bed field hospital in a building owned by BPCL Kochi refinery at Ambalamugal, to serve the needy. Aster Volunteers, the global CSR programme of Aster DM Healthcare, has signed an MoU with Geojit Foundation to support the first 50 beds at Aster Geojit Covid Field Hospital, which will start accepting patients from Wednesday. Facilities set up earlier Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, said “Being a responsible healthcare provider, we consider it as our responsibility to serve patients in spite of the risks and challenges. We have already set up three Covid Care field hospitals in New Delhi, Kozhikode and Kottakkal to support India’s fight against the pandemic.”

Share Via Email   |  A+A A- By Express News Service KOCHI:  A 100-bed temporary COVID treatment centre facilitated by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) Kochi Refinery on Refinery School premises was opened on Thursday. The refinery has provided oxygen support to all the beds at the centre. Refinery executive director Sanjay Khanna said the new facility is the first phase of the 1,500 bed COVID treatment centre with oxygen support being built by the refinery in association with the district administration.

April 23, 2021 The first parcel was transported to Silvassa and Chennai The first parcel of Normal Butanol produced in the new propylene derivatives petrochemical complex of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd at Kochi Refinery was virtually  flagged off by Arun Kumar Singh, Director (Marketing),  BPCL-Kochi Refinery. Normal Butanol is one of the six major niche petrochemicals being produced and marketed in ‘world scale economic size capacity’ for the first time in the country by BPCL. The first parcels of Normal Butanol was transported in ISO containers to KLG Plasticizers (Silvassa) and Rachna Plasticizers (Silvassa) and in tank lorry to Visen Industries, Chennai. The product finds application in plasticizers, textile manufacture, impact modifiers for rigid PVC, amino resins and butyl amines.
