Charlotte farm-to-fork restaurant opening in Belmont this summer

Farm-to-fork restaurant Heirloom recently announced its permanent move to the new North Main Station on Glenway Street. Clark Barlowe first opened Heirloom in 2014 in northwest Charlotte, not far from Mountain Island Lake, with a pledge to support Charlotte-area farmers. Barlowe passed the reins to Scott and Linda Murphy, and their son Patrick, in 2019, who have continued celebrating Barlowe’s vision ever since. The Murphys hoped to relocate Heirloom sometime in the next five years, but the COVID-19 pandemic pushed them to step-up the search during summer 2020. Patrick, Heirloom’s chef, learned about Belmont through his former neighbor, who happened to be Rob Florio, general manager of The Bottle Tree in Belmont.
