But because of the dangerous cold, the shelters did open a few days early to get people in off the streets. Some of the 6,500 plus Homeless People who have no place to go. This particular shelter where we go, the Reception Center has 250 beds and serves adlts only but the one down in gilroy, the Gilroy Center at the National Guard armory also opened in this cold snap and there they have more than 100 beds for families with children. Another shelter will open in december in sunnyvale. Each of these places people can get in
