CLEVELAND, Ohio – Bruce Springsteen’s 1978 Darkness Tour is not only regarded as perhaps the greatest trek of The Boss’ illustrious career. It ranks among the greatest runs of all time by any artist. And that couldn’t have happened without Northeast Ohio.
There was the Aug. 9 concert at Cleveland’s Agora, which would become the greatest live recording of Springsteen’s career. Along the way came a surprise performance with Southside Johnny & The Ashbury Jukes, then three shows at Richfield Coliseum and a New Year’s Eve celebration for the ages.
