BMW Motorrad India has once again set a new benchmark in performance by achieving the highest ever annual sales by a premium motorcycle brand in India. In 2021, BMW Motorrad India sold 5,191 motorcycles, posting a remarkable growth of 102.5% as compared to 2020.
Before the onset of the pandemic last year, BMW Motorrad said they saw they expected to be on track for a year of record motorcycle sales worldwide, but those expected results were ruined.

Remember BMW Motorrad revealed the R 18 Classic last year? Well, we have some news for you the German automaker has now launched the bike in India at ₹24 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). Underpinned by the R18 platform, it is a touring bike. Oh, and even though it is based on the BMW R18 First Edition Cruiser, it manages to look quite different than the former. How? Because of the touring motorcycle specific provisions it comes sporting we ll get to that in just a bit.
The all-new BMW R 18 Classic cruiser bike offers three standard riding modes – ‘Rain’, ‘Roll’ and ‘Rock’ to suit individual rider preferences. In ‘Rain’ mode, throttle response is gentler and riding dynamics allow a high safety over slippery road surface.
