Today I bring you an all Canadian cast of music that makes me tick. stuff I like. every one of these songs and or performers I put high on my list. I want to share with you all now that after a great deal of pondering, and with some amount of hesitation, I have decided I need more time to get back to writing music, and other things in my life that I have unwittingly been neglecting. So, I have decided to cut back quite a bit on my contribution to CKCU. I’ve been with the station for about 25 years, on air for much of that, and serving on the Board of Directors for a combined length of at least 10 years. Next month, August 19 to be precise, will be my last Saturday Morning Show. I will however be on air occasionally, as a part of the Back 40 collective with Ron Moores and Al Surmachinski (once every second month) and also occasionally filling in on some program or another as my time permits. For my jazz set at the beginning we re taking a micro look at singer Anita O Day then moving on to a little "stride" and "ragtime" music. That takes us to the middle of the first hour, then on to some great Canadian roots-style country.
