More Details Released From Trigg Indictment Of Will Jackson Road Murder Suspect

McCoy will appear virtually in Trigg County Circuit Court for arraignment Wednesday. He was not arrested on the murder and other charges from the death of Barnett until September 30. McCoy was arrested on September 22, following a traffic stop by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office near the intersection of U.S. 68 and Blue Springs Road, but was charged with an active warrant from another case, drug-related charges, and in relation an EBT card in his possession that was not his. In addition, McCoy was indicted by a Lyon County Grand Jury last week on charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000, second-degree arson, and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Acree tells the News Edge motorists need to avoid Rocky Ridge Road and Will Jackson Road. The News Edge has received many reports of vehicles sliding off both roads. Sheriff Acree adds tow trucks are even getting stuck trying to get vehicles off of the roadways. Acree also advises motorists to stay away from the intersection of Blue Springs Road and State Park Road, as a semi-truck has jack-knifed.
