I think i had one of the unique opportunities to serve as a political appointee for all eight years with president reagan at the education is a very young man at the time. But really was a disciple of president reagan. I just love the fact that he was the governor and brought that governorship into his role as president s. I also had the blessing to be the head of the Transition Team on the way out in 1992. And the Transition Team on the way into thousand, before and after president clinton, and former governor had served and helped lead the Transition Team for president bush in 2000, and again another governor. It was great to see these three education governors really make a difference in the National Leadership as president of the united states. Russian river has overflowed its banks. The once pristine shoreline now awash in a sea of mud and deb s debris. Residents many of them living in tents, moved out before the flooding. Its spectacular to see the river come back and north nature say you occupy a lot of space here, but im in charge. Reporter down the road to the west, the river bend rv park is largely under water. Fortunately, not before most of the rigs relocated to higher ground. I live in santa rosa, but this kind of thing interests me and i like to take pictures of it so i came out to take a few snapshots. I think its going to get worse, right . More rain, could get higher . Well see. Reporter on the uphillside of river road, it was a tree that snapped in half and landed on this house. Past Fourth Street. Todays Business Owners brought in generators to try to pump two feet of water out of the basement. Investigators are still working on a cause and origin of the fire but it looks like the fire started in the sneaker store. Market street was littered with soggy sneaks of all sizes. He came out disappointed. Its flooded and everything it smells. You cant even move anything. Reporter nobody was hurt in the fire but so many people lost so much. For some it was their lifes work. For linda and her husband it was their home. The fire chief texted me theres still no cause of the fire. Crews are going to board up the storefront. Once they get done doing that they should be able to reopen Market Street between Fourth Street here and fifth street. Its been tough getting around downtown wilmington. Nbc10 news. This line of showers heading toward lancaster, burks county, and the Lehigh Valley this morning. But the rest of the area, youll get rain, too. Were starting off with lots of clouds and foggy conditions, too. Low clouds and fog in philadelphia. 50 degrees. You see the fog and low clouds for the suburbs, 46. In new jersey, 47 now. An easterly wind. Its the east or northeasterly winds that will keep the clouds with us all day long today. Lehigh valley at 49 degrees and 51 degrees in delaware. We will warm into the 60s. And it will be a bit warmer than yesterday. Its also going to be rainier than yesterday, too.
