Conway leaders decided Monday to demolish the remaining building left at the Whittemore Elementary site following a recommendation from a task force that is helping the city determine the future of the site.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Ohio Parole Board denied parole for the man convicted of killing two teenagers in the summer of 1981.
Thomas Gilbert has spent almost 40 years behind bars for the murders of Sandy Jo Hogue, 19, of Akron and Joanne Shafer, 15, of Stow.
The Ohio Parole Board said “release of the inmate into society would create undue risk to public safety”.
On August 12th, 1981, Hogue was working at an all-night convenience store in Akron, when Gilbert dragged her out of the store, raped and murdered her.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Thomas Gilbert has spent 40 years in prison.
Summit County prosecutors believe he should stay there.
Gilbert was convicted of kidnapping, rape, and murder and sentenced to 55 years to life in prison.
Police say he killed two women in Summit County.
The Ohio Parole Board has scheduled a hearing in February to consider whether Gilbert should be paroled.
âThis is one of the most violent offenders that has ever come through this court system,â said Tania Nemer, a community outreach prosecutor for the Summit County Prosecutorâs Office.
