Crews have been cleaning up the power lines. Reporter good morning. We found the power lines that fell this morning, causing the major traffic backup. You see the power lines on the ground. They were stuck in the tree. There was a bunch of workers below the transformer that were involved in the incident. Around 5 30 a. M. A crane that was involved in this Bart Lafayette track rebuilding work took down the power lines. They ended up falling along westbound lanes of highway 24. All lanes closed for nearly an hour. The lanes finally reopened and the traffic is moving again. But there is a lot of work to be done. 115 people in the area are without power this morning because of this. Is this breaking news that weve been bringing you since the Early Morning hours. 34 people missen and feared dead after an Early Morning boat fire off the coast of Santa Barbara. It was a 75foot dive boat. The captain and four other people were able to escape or rescued. The boat ultimately sank after taking on water. The reports indicate that the 34 people unaccounted for were asleep below deck when the boat caught fire. It is named conception that left for a three day trip, taking divers to an island. A 3alarm fire broke out just before 6 00 this morning. This went to 3alarms that is a signal that Additional Fire fighting help was called n it was knocked down but it burned about a quarter of the lumberyard. There w

The other death was an 87year old woman family members said was gardening when she died. The exposure to the hot sun was too much for her. She was a sweet old lady. Reporter people in this neighborhood are mourning the death of the 87yearold who was friendly and loved to garden. She would wave and get her garbage cans. Reporter it was at her home and her son said she was doing yard work. Neighbors warned her it was too hot and she should go inside. It was not until 4 00 in the afternoon her son found her passed out lying on the pavement. She died of hypothermia. Record body temperature was too high. I think the deaths are preventable.
