Reporter it was at her home and her son said she was doing yard work. Neighbors warned her it was too hot and she should go inside. It was not until 4 00 in the afternoon her son found her passed out lying on the pavement. She died of hypothermia. Record body temperature was too high. I think the deaths are preventable. I think the deaths remind us of what we all need to do to keep ourselves safe and our family safe. Reporter this is one of two confirmed he related deaths. The corner identified the other person as a homeless man who died in his car. If you see someone in trouble or if you see someone sitting in the hot sun and not moving or doing something, they are probably in trouble. They had some very complicated problems from very early on. The required lots of antibiotics and hospitalization. And extra nutritional needs. They had to have surgery for that. They had a tough life. Reporter the mother said she can see light at the end of the tunnel. She is grateful. I want to tell them thank you. They should be able to run and jump and play. Reporter doctors say transplanted lungs only hold up for so long. They say it is likely that both children will need second Lung Transplants sometime down the road. They have forged a special bond.
