Around the nation, the United Auto Workers are now expanding their walkout to include dozens more plants owned by gm and stellantis. Lets go straight to this mornings top stories. A shootout inside a crowded car dealership in albany left two dead including an employee and the gunman. Police are investigating what led up to the violence. It happen yesterday at the toyota Berkeley Service center. Police say the gunman began shooting inside the building at around 11 00 a. M. The shooter killed a Woman Working there and then later died in a gun battle with police. Many of those who witnessed the shooting were at a loss for words. Really shocked about what happened. I heard she got two kids. Police have not said much about the victim and the suspect but witnesses believe the victim and shooter knew each other. While. Weve been used to seeing hazy, smoky skies. There is relief in sight from the unhealthy air. Unfortunately tomorrow is another spare the air day, but look at this, the air quality map, showing mostly yellow around the bay area, which is moderate, instead of the orange and red we saw yesterday. Heres what it looks like outside. There is definitely still a layer of haze, as smoke continues to drift here from wildfires to our north, but you can see a bit of improvement, maybe a little more blue sky in some spots. Day in the bay area. We have been dealing with some very bad air quality as the wildfires to the north of us continue to sweep the smoke into our local homes and communities. Heading into this weekend, we will start seeing improvement. For now, we are still seeing widespread throughout the area. Heading into next week, by monday and tuesday, we will see improvements. Keep that in mind. Once we had into monday and tuesday, an area of low pressure will move its way in and that is when we could see a light chance of showers as early as monday night, mostly for the north bay.
