More erratic winds are expected to make today a tough day for firefighters battling the raging king fire in el dorado county. The fire has already burned more than 87,000 acres and its destroyed ten homes and 22 other buildings. Right now, it is only 18 contained. Good afternoon, im tori campbell. As brian hickey reports, today the focus is on the changing weather conditions and how the wind could help fuel the king fire, which is still threatening more than 12,000 homes. Reporter the second fire camp is up and running. Its to battle the north end of the king fire as crews head out for another day on the fire lines of a fire thats grown to more than 8 more thanle 7 more than 87,000 acres. Crews set up this camp closer to where they need to go to work but also to spread the crews out. Theyve divided the crews and sent many to the north where the bulk of the work is left to do go its very difficult to move around in the morning team when everyone is gearing up for the day shift. Violence charges. The police took him in custody at a home. Mcdonald was celebrating his up coming birthday with his fiancee and teammates, the two got in a fight and she has bruises on her neck and arms. Looking at a felony that could potentially land him in state prison. His arrest comes days after the nfl stiffened the penalties for Domestic Violence.
