Marietta College is proud to announce the induction of two esteemed alumni into the Petroleum Engineering & Geology Hall of Fame on Thursday, April 25. The induction ceremony will occur at The Gathering Place, with a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. and inductions at 6:00 p.m.The inductees are Eugene L. Huck ’79 and Jim Metcalf ’79, both of whom have distinguished themselves through remarkable careers and contributions to the oil and gas industry.

Joanita Bbaale Senoga overcame great adversity in her homeland of Uganda surviving the tyrannical genocide of the Edi Amin regime, achieving a college education, and finding ways to educate children whose families had no way of affording their schooling.This week, Senoga will spend time with Marietta College students discussing her journey to create the Circle of Peace school system in Uganda, which has served thousands of children by providing free education, and the non-profit organization Circle of Peace International that supports the school.
Students from Marietta College’s Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geology are hosting the annual Earth, Energy, and Environment Student Exhibition from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Friday, November 3. This event occurs on the final day of the three-day E3 (Earth, Energy, and Environment) Student Conference and Exhibition.The E3 Student Exhibition was founded in 2017 by a group of students who wanted to host companies and organizations in person for Marietta students to learn more about the energy industry.
