Wadia Group-backed GoAir has been rebranded as Go First as the airline is betting big on its ultra-low-cost business model to tide over the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline is also preparing to go for an initial public offering (IPO) to raise funds for its expansion plans.

The airline is currently in the process of transitioning all its operations under the new brand.
Leading Mumbai-based airline brand GoAir has rebranded itself to become Go First. At the heart of this revamp is the full embrace of the ultra-low cost airline model .
With the youngest average fleet among Indian LCC carriers, majority of which are Airbus A320neos, with high-density seating and single aircraft type across its fleet, Go First is positioned to get ahead of its peer group by operating with ultra-low cost.
To communicate this change, Go First dons a rebranded identity. The new identity is complete with contemporary graphics and a bolder, brighter blue. The airline is currently in the process of transitioning all its operations under this new brand.

Low-cost carrier GoAir has rebranded itself as Go First, the company announced on Thursday.
The purpose of the revamp is to fully embrace the ultra-low-cost airline model to gain an advantage over its peers, the airline said.
The carrier is aiming at young travellers with the rebrand. To communicate this change, Go First is also revamping its brand identity.

“With this change, Go First is poised for its next phase of growth as an ultra-low-cost carrier. The airline is in the process of transitioning all its operations under this new brand,” it said.
Wadia Group-controlled airline GoAir has rebranded itself as Go First, the company announced on Thursday.
The purpose of rebranding the 15-year-old airline is “to fully embrace the ultra-low-cost airline model” to gain an advantage over its peers.
The carrier is aiming at young travellers with the rebrand. To communicate this change, Go First is also revamping the brand identity.
“As young India changes the way it travels, seeking speed, convenience, and yet demanding value, Go First is determined to be part of the socio-economic momentum to chart its next phase of growth,” the airline said in a statement.
“With this change, Go First is poised for its next phase of growth as an ultra-low-cost carrier. The Airline is in the process of transitioning all its operations under this new brand,” it said.
