Some local stores in Bedford gave some suggestions of what to get.
G & L Gems at 121 E. Pitt St. in the downtown, celebrated its 34th anniversary yesterday.
For motherâs day weekend, the store has 20% off sterling silver jewelry.
âFor Motherâs Day, I recommend mother and child rings,â said owner and manager Brenda Szanca. âThere are also family tree necklaces, and couple hand rings.â
Regular diamonds and colored diamonds are always a popular choice according to Szanca.
There is gold and silver jewelry including bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and rings.
âPeople tend to get jewelry pieces with birthstones in them, but you need to buy those five days in advance because it takes time to place the gems.â said Szanca.

Bella Terra Vineyards was founded in 2015 by Jay and Joanna Bell with the idea of creating a space for outdoor weddings and events and supplying those events with homemade wine.
But once the tasting room opened and things got rolling, they realized that the potential was grander than originally thought. By 2019, Jay and Joanna had left their “day” jobs to focus on the winery full time and added several employees, including general manager Heather Gibas and winemaker Bill King. That same year they opened a tasting room and event space, which offered wine, local craft beers and Pennsylvania-made spirits.
