it s a two-person race now or is it? tonight on laura coates live. all right. i admit that was a bit of a trick question. nikki haley does think it s a two-person race between trump and herself. donald trump got out there and just threw a temper tantrum. i know that s what he does when he is threatened and he should feel threatened. trump and biden think it s a two-person race between the two of them. you know what the fact is? the primary season is taking a bit of a back seat to what we ll call the court season because even though nine republicans, yes, nine republicans have dropped out of the race, people forget about a third party, the real decider at times, the courts. now it may all come down to fani willis, alvin bragg, jack smith, letitia james, not to mention, of course, the d.c. circuit court and perhaps the biggest decider of all, those nine who are still very much a part of the game, the supreme court. so much for a two-person race. this is going to be a wh
creating environments that unsafe for the lgbtq community. leaders, their governors, are at the head of that. ensuring that it is not safe for lgbtq communities in that state. what we are seeing here is, even if the bills don t pass, we project about ten to 20% of these bills will pass. we are seeing them pass. there are ten don t say gay bills that have passed across ten different states in this country. the harm is done as soon as there proposed. they are proposing this insidious around the lgbtq community that we need to be legislated against as human beings. i beg any of these politicians to show me what happened. what went wrong that you needed to legislate against lgbtq people. i can answer that for. you absolutely nothing! these are solutions to problems that don t exist. they are causing great problems for our community. glad president, sarah kay ellis. often glad to give you the chance to chat and talk about this. for all of you that is gonna do for me on this edit
about this agreement. but his primary audience is actually going to be that undecided swing voter in the middle, and really try to sell it to that voter. right, and chris hayes, this is a strange thing for biden. is that the fundamentals of the economy are good, and yet people feel bad. and so he s constantly in this position of trying to sell reality to people who are sort of defying reality with their sort of feel, their sort of feelings about things. to lawrence s point, i was a little surprised, precisely for the reason you enunciated. okay, we nade it. like not a speech giving occasion, but i think what it s going to be, to your point, it s going to be about the biden economy. i do think, look, inflation has been bad for lots of people. it has eaten into real gains. people also had a higher level of personal disposable income and that s come down as the sort of recovery has happened, as that money has sort of been spent down. there s a lot of reasons people do feel u
officials and other colleagues trying to understand what the implications were. so i am going back to the hill today, going to meet with a lot of of my colleagues and get to where we need to go. i know we have to pay our bills. that is probably the most overriding thing driving me. but as i said yesterday, there are parts of this bill that i would not vote for if they were a free standing bill. the whole process is not one that is the way that the government should operate. we need regular order. that to me, congresswoman, sounds like a reluctant yes at this point. am i reading that right? i am not going to tell you one way or the other because i am going to keep asking questions and if i learn anything that s very disturbing today, i will have you know, i want to understand how precedent setting this bill is. how will this impact future bills? what are the domestic spending cuts, what are the programs really going to cut? are seniors going to be hurt. real questions th
good evening once again. i m stephanie ruhle. less than two hours ago, the house passed a bipartisan plan to head off a disastrous default, which the treasury warned could come as soon as monday. the bill clear the house at a critical time for our economy, with the risk of recession still a concern. 314 members voted in favor of the bill. 117 voted against it. among the no votes, 71 republicans, including members of the freedom caucus. they were not alone. 46 democrats were also in the no column. but before the vote took place, several members from both sides went to the floor to make the case for the bill. thank goodness for joe biden s legislative skill, we will not go over the edge. and they are prepared to take us over the edge. the bill contains spending cuts that takes a step towards the right direction to restoring fiscal sanity in washington. we need to avoid a default that would stop checks to our seniors, benefits to our veterans. house democrats were c
