terrific general election candidate. she is an absolutely refreshing breath of fresh air. i just don t know that s exactly what the republican base voter is looking for right now. this was a very inspirational, aspirational, optimistic message, but that is not how the republican party has been looking for of late. she s going to have to run a very good campaign if she is going to make a real dent in this. there is a lot of people who want to feel the same way that she is potentially in. a number of other people who want to go back to sort of what republicans used to be like, you know, fiscal responsibility as she says or traditional republican values, i just don t know there is a lot of that. a lot more people there is donald trump out there, a lot of people who are acting like donald trump, who want to be populous, nativist, isolationist. none of those things describe nikki haley. interesting to see whether she can grow that pie, grow that
as a national security party. - there s no one running that has had the safety and responsibility of millions and millions of people on their shoulders under very difficult circumstances, and i m not just talking about september 11th. - but by 2008, the war had started to go quite badly, and a lot of americans, even a lot of republicans, viewed it very negatively. but also, you had to be right on taxes, abortion, and guns. he was wrong on three of those things for the republican base voter. - he was a new yorker with some progressive ideals. now, sometimes he would try to hide them. - it is a extreme asset to be the candidate with the most experience in this race. - for generations, members of both parties had tried to win the presidential nomination by building momentum, winning the earliest contests in states like iowa, new hampshire, south carolina.

voters who looks at this republican party, who talk for the last two years about what they would do when given the reigns of power in american government like the republican majority congress to actually do things to try and fix certain situations that they think need remedy. whether it be around the economy, whether be around gas prices, any of these elements and yet they are engaged in the weaponization of the rule of law against political opponents. i think it s a fiasco for them and i think that again, any american voter who is a non maga base voter will see this for what it is. the more that they draw this contrast and try and create what is clearly a false equivalency corey, i think it will blow up in their face. if you want a quick metaphor, this with the classified documents and vice president biden is the equivalent of driving on a country rural road, you maybe take your eyes off in front of me for a second. they hit the bar in the new pull over, nobody is watching. you call t
what particularly would you be saying in these rooms? what concerns you about these numbers? my biggest concern is not the way parties traditionally go after voters that base voter usually as five years of being able to represent receipts that they voted in five elections. you know the base voters are for the democratic party? young voters. by default, young voters do not have a voting history. so, we know that the majority of young voters who we registered in the last election, have not been contacted. they need to focus on that. in 2020, joe biden, when you look at the latino vote, 51% of latinos who voted for joe biden, were either first-time voters or low because 60% of latinos are under the age of 33. they need a call. i ve been seeing these reports that the number of folks have said they have not been called and key places across the country. that is something to watch.
