Residents have voiced their concerns, one of the members from Citizens Movement - East Bengaluru said, “The road has become a nightmare to commute on. The constant digging and inadequate repairs have turned it into a hazard, risking accidents and damage to vehicles.”
He said that the city has been able to achieve this because of a range of initiatives spanning traffic engineering, public transportation enhancements, targeted interventions at congested junctions, and infrastructure improvements.
The residents stated that the stretch from Hope Farm Junction to Tree Park Metro Station, a vital 1-kilometre area, is marred by a consistent occupation of footpaths by vendors and two-wheeler parking. This not only impedes accessibility for pedestrians but also poses a significant risk to those forced to walk on the roads due to blocked footpaths.
