THE number of patients left waiting a year or more for routine treatment at Oxfordshire s major hospitals in November rocketed to a record high for the month, latest figures reveal. The deaths took place at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH), which runs the John Radcliffe, the Churchill, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Banbury’s Horton General Hospital. One of the deaths took place on Tuesday and the other four patients died on Wednesday. There have been more than a dozen deaths at the trust of people who have tested positive for Covid 19 this week alone. The total official coronavirus death toll at the trust since the start of the pandemic is now 310.
