Delhi s remained in the Very Poor category on Thursday with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 343, while Noida reported an even worse AQI than the national capital, registering an AQI of 397. 15-20 days are critical, said Delhi Enviroment Minister Gopal Rai.
In a meeting to review the air pollution in the city, the committee assessed the situation in the national capital as well as forecasts by the meteorological department and the air quality index of Delhi.
The air quality panel also said that states might also impose restrictions on the plying of BS III petrol and BS IV diesel four-wheelers in the NCR considering the recent drop in the air quality.
