DIPHU Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma along with the national Vice President of BJP, who is also the party in charge of the state, Baijayant Panda visited Diphu as part of the ongoing party programme Maha Samparak Abhijan. The ruling party programme also marks the completion of nine years of the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A public meeting was held at Chutianala Sports Complex, 5th mile Diphu-Manja road on Friday. Addressing the gathering, Biswa Sarma highlighted on various schemes for women, needy families and the youth. He said that the Assam government will provide INR 2 lakh each to 1 lakh youth to start a business without approaching the bank; they can take a loan later from banks to expand their businesses. He also stated that by October 40 lakh people will get their Ration Cards and that those with Ration Cards, can avail free treatment of upto INR 5 lakh annually.
