A third suspect wanted in a murder that occurred on Dec. 20 was arrested early Saturday morning.
Freddy Wayne Scalf, Jr., 28, of East Bernstadt was taken into custody at about 1 a.m. after Laurel County Sheriff s deputies learned information on his whereabouts.
Scalf was located off KY 1376, about 6 miles north of London.Â
He was charged with complicity to commit murder.
The Laurel County Sheriff s Office announced Thursday afternoon that a $500 cash reward will be given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Freddy Wayne Scalf, Jr., 28, of East Bernstadt.

At approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb, Deputy Coty Arnold and K9 Deputy Wes Brumley along with K9 Ghost arrested Ashley Lewis, 30 of London. The arrest occurred after Sheriff Robinson received a tip that Lewis was at a residence off of Cool Springs Road.
Lewis was wanted for complicity to commit murder that happened in Laurel County on Dec. 20.
Upon arrival, Sheriff Robinson and deputies surrounded the residence and located Lewis attempting to hide in a bedroom. Lewis was placed under arrest without incident. TUESDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE

Laurel Co. murder suspect arrested, accomplice still on the run December 23, 2020
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect in a Sunday afternoon murder.
Robert B. Gray, 39, of Keavy, was arrested Wednesday after a standoff with Laurel County deputies. The standoff took place at the home of one of Gray’s relatives.
Gray had been on the run since killing 32-year-old Jeremy Caldwell, of Manchester, Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:00.
Law enforcement continues to look for 30-year-old Ashley B. Lewis, of East Bernstadt, who has a warrant for her arrest for complicity to commit murder.
The homicide took place in a parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 490 and Hwy 1376, about 20 miles north of London (near East Bernstadt).

Robert Brandon Gray, 39, of Keavy, is now lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center where he is being held in lieu of a $250,000 cash bond on charges of murder, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), and resisting arrest.

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies are still searching for a second suspect, Ashley B. Lewis, 30, of East Bernstadt, in connection to the killing of Jeremy Caldwell, 32, of Manchester, which occurred about 2 p.m. Sunday. The killing happened off Highway 490 at Highway 1376 across from a business parking lot about five miles north of London in the East Bernstadt area, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department.
