Laurel Co. murder suspect arrested, accomplice still on the run December 23, 2020
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect in a Sunday afternoon murder.
Robert B. Gray, 39, of Keavy, was arrested Wednesday after a standoff with Laurel County deputies. The standoff took place at the home of one of Gray’s relatives.
Gray had been on the run since killing 32-year-old Jeremy Caldwell, of Manchester, Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:00.
Law enforcement continues to look for 30-year-old Ashley B. Lewis, of East Bernstadt, who has a warrant for her arrest for complicity to commit murder.
The homicide took place in a parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 490 and Hwy 1376, about 20 miles north of London (near East Bernstadt).

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has identified two suspects involved in a Sunday afternoon murder.
The homicide took place in a parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 490 and Hwy 1376, about 20 miles north of London (near East Bernstadt), Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:00, according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root.
The two suspects, 39-year-old Robert B. Gray, of Keavy, and 30-year-old Ashley B. Lewis, of East Bernstadt, are wanted for the murder of 32-year-old Jeremy Caldwell, of Manchester. Gray is wanted on a murder charge while Lewis is wanted for complicity to commit murder.
