Right now airlines are furloughing tens of thousands of employees. American, delta and United Airlines have all announced furloughs and all of those airlines have a major footprint here at mineta San Jose National airport. Air travel is down 70 from last year. That is, in part, the reason they have to go through with the furloughs. A second round of airline aid has been stalled in washington for weeks.
