Bill McFarland of New Haven will be turning 100 years old on May 4. The Town of New Haven has declared the occasion “Bill McFarland Day” and will hold a drive-by card shower for him from 4 to 6 p.m. McFarland, a former U.S. Navy Gunner Mate, is shown at his home next to a Navy display box he designed.
