particularly on the left, particularly from someone like senator richard blumenthal who told me yesterday it is time to pull the plug on these bipartisan talks and move along straight party lines. i really think it s time to pull the plug now and take action promptly, robustly, because every indication is that republicans simply aren t serious. reporter: now, as chuck schumer the majority leader was leaving the senate yesterday i did ask him about those bipartisan talks and he said we are moving forward on two tracks, both on the budget reconciliation process, that partisan process, as well as these bipartisan talks. he would not give me his assessment on how he thought thinks these talks were going but any deal that will be reached by this group, it is still drafted, they get into all the fine print they have to sell it to the respective caucuses and get enough support in both chambers and both houses of congress not an easy task and already push back from the left
