two years so that it s complete before the end of president trump s first administration. eric: what happens if they don t give that up? at what point does this deal does this agreement and the intentions potentially fall apart? it can fall apart at any point. i think very quickly here we re on a little bit of a showdown here. they have to come forth with the identification and location of everything. if they re not willing to do that, then we know they aren t serious and all the other good faith measures are hollow. what do we do? if we don t have a deal and they are breaking faith with us, as they have in the past, then we will increase the sanctions rather dramatically and also have to increase the sanctions on china. and we ll have to start a series of military preparedness in terms of preparing for a military option. one would be we re no longer
and three, put together a strategic framework where the parties agree to complete denuclearization and parties agree to the security of north korea indefinitely. some details to support that. that s possible in the next two weeks. but if they aren t serious, if north korea is gaming this thing as they were the last two weeks, then i think what the president s team will advise him is to delay the summit. blake: briefly, marco rubio said over the weekend he thinks the north koreans want sanction relief. jeff flake says he thinks a freeze would be better than what we currently have. is that maybe where this is headed? maybe not complete denuclearization but the north koreans wanting something along those lines? i don t know what senator flake is talking about. kim jong-un has already put in place a freeze. he did that a number of weeks ago. we re freezing nuclear and ballistic testing. that doesn t mean anything. he can restart tomorrow if he
yesterday. and what the north will demand as far as stipulations to eventually denuclearize. that s a real question mark and one that i think we ll find out in coming weeks. sandra: about that meeting, michael gallagher was on talking to bill earlier and he sits on the house armed services committee and he made the interesting point sort of giving his approval to the president really putting it out there, i m willing to walk away if my expectations are not met at that meeting. listen. john bolton and mike pompeo are clear eyed in their assessment of the north koreans. we have to learn from the mistakes of the past which is why i was glad to hear the president say he was willing to walk away from the negligent yaixs if the north korean s aren t serious. there is bipartisan support. democrats and republicans
