Talk about. Well start off with 580 and the altamont pass. We had an earlier accident and the traffic is just a mess. This is a look at 680, 24. And you can see traffic here is going to be okay as you drive south. There are no yore problems here. 580 westbound is going to be slow as you drive across the altamont pass. And 680 we had an earlier kept on the sunol grade. 680 is a mess out of pleasanton heading south. And weve had a crash or we had an earlier pedestrian on the bay bridge toll plaza. You will see the traffic is going to be slow. I just wanted to mention the crash interstate 880 southbound. Southbound 880 is slow heading down to hegeen berger because of an earlier crash. Im watching one of our cameras and next time ill show you 880. Its going to be a mess southbound which is unusual. Oakland as executives will scout a location at the port of oakland for a possible new home for the team. The proposed site is Howard Terminal on the west aware a half mile. Reporter you saw the
Westsouthwest 18. 7 to 18. Not a big deal. Low 60s. Low 50s to the north. One observation there. Concord and walnut creek saying 52. 53 lafayette. Not bad for antioch and brentwood and even pleasanton. These temps have come down. The lows are getting a little cooler. A little falllike feel in the air. Clear in the sierra. A lot of low clouds and fog. Looks like parts of the most inland areas cool down starting tomorrow. Today 60s, 70s coast and bay. 80s for some inland or a few low 90s. East bay, sal, you want to start there . Its been a bear in the east bay. If you are trying to get to San Francisco, the bay bridge is somewhat normal. We had a couple of minor problems on that span. As you look at the backup here, it doesnt look unusual. Its a 20minute delay before you make it onto the span. It takes ten minutes or so to cross the bridge. The coast and the bay look pretty nice today, but starting off with some patchy fog. Unfortunately, her came newton has made landfall at 3 15 am, following this on twitter, and the information is coming in. It is moving 90 miles an hour and to the northwest. The torrential rain is what we are hearing about so far, and in the next couple of hours we will get pictures coming out. It will head through the golf, gulf, california and then curve through arizona. More than likely it will hit tomorrow morning, especially at tucson. Phoenix as well, but we will see. Overall looking for 40s and 50s to start, not much fog, no onshore breeze with the High Pressure building in. 60s, 70s, 80s and a few 90s. It has been busy, and lets take a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. It is already crowded this morning trying to get into San Francisco, a 20 minute delay before you get on to the bridge. It is not unusual, and back to its normal cell. Lets normal self. Lets take a look, 580 moving along nicely.
And into tomorrow, and look at this, wind gusts up to 37, and at the Altamont Pass 40 miles an hour. Hold onto your hat. 40s and 50s, and in the Santa Cruz Mountains we have mid50s. Once this fog bank gets chewed up, a decent breeze for some and getting cranked up in the higher elevations. This low would drop into the picture sending the temperatures plunging. 60s and 70s. I know that people listen to what you say, and that we and is not only an issue at the Altamont Pass, but also in other areas. We will continue to watch this. As we talk about the Altamont Pass, steve just talked about the tracy super commuters, and it will be windy. You can see driving through this area would traffic already slow coming in over the Altamont Pass, so please give yourself extra time, especially if you drive a small car. Big rig drivers may be affected, especially driving an empty trailer through the Altamont Pass, so give yourself extra time driving into the livermore area. As we look at interstate 88
