The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) issued a notice to the BJP-controlled municipal corporation in the city on Monday, seeking an explanation within two weeks for the “poor” performance of primary schools.
In a bid to help children in distress and SOS situations, the Delhi Commission For Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) has initiated an emergency response system. It has launched a helpline number to help distressed children within 30 minutes.
The task force will focus on identifying and providing educational, financial and guardianship support to homeless children. With a comprehensive plan for bringing dignity into the lives of these kids, the government had set aside a budget of Rs 10 crores to develop a residential school for such children.
