Mask? No mask? Americans recalibrate, hour by hour

NYT May 16, 2021 3:05 PM ET In interviews this weekend with dozens of residents from Los Angeles to Atlanta, people said they were mostly encouraged by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s finding that masks were no longer needed for fully vaccinated people in most indoor and outdoor situations. She studied in Poland during college to explore her heritage and visit family. And that’s where she encountered the sweet rolls that would inspire this cake, so laden with poppy seeds they tasted nutty, but without the lemon you’d expect in the U.S.
