in the dark after a frightening sequence of events. an underground power cable went up in flames and restaurant. we have the exclusive video seconds after the fire started. we have a repair crew working on this power line. this is what we are talking about. this is a piece of the failed power cable. the workers are very busy. this is a big job. this is a caller seen and what we found a couple of hours ago. a calmer scene. flame shooting out of the ground. i heard a boom. we went outside and we saw the fire. about 3:30 this afternoon, an explosion several feet underground rocked these apartments. the frightened residents ran outside only to find something which scared them even more than the blast. i saw the people screaming. firefighters realized the source of the flames was an underground power line that runs from the transformer to the apartment. it was crazy. i was running out of the room with no shoes on. after they cut off the power the underground smolde
