Meet Central CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson track and field program will be represented by six individuals at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, set to run from Thursday, March 11, through Saturday, March 13. Clemson will have all six of its athletes open their competition on Friday, March 12. The University of Arkansas will host the meet at its Randal Tyson Track Center for the twelfth time in history and the first time since 2015. There's a lot of emotion flowing because I can still vividly remember being out in Albuquerque last year, watching Laurie [Barton] and Andrea [Foster] and all of our kids we had out there last year step off the track with tears in their eyes when we found out that the championships were canceled, said Clemson's Director of Track & Field, Mark Elliott. Laurie Barton has put together another stellar season of consistent and high-achieving performances throughout 2021. The Clemson native helped to rewrite the program’s record book alongside her teammates while repeatedly establishing herself as one of the best middle-distance runners in the country.
Barton will toe the start line at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships as the second seed in the women’s 800 meters and a favorite to stand atop the event’s podium following Saturday’s final. After last year’s indoor championships came to a halt before ever getting underway, Barton has put together a stellar season that has prepared her to seize the opportunity when it presents itself later this week.

The Tigers’ contingent is made up of Trishauna Hemmings (60-meter hurdles, 200m), Laurie Barton (800m), Andrea Foster (800m), Terryon Conwell (200m), Fabian Hewitt (60m) and Giano Roberts (60m hurdles).
The competition will get underway on Thursday, March 11, and will go through Saturday, March 13, at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. The indoor championships return to the University of Arkansas for the first time since 2015 and for the twelfth time in history. Clemson has won six national championships during indoor championships hosted by Arkansas.
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Florida State track and field team competed in the third and final day of the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship. The women put on an impressive display to claim the ACC crown by scoring an amazing 95 points on the final day to jump and take first place. The men’s team claimed third place behind Virginia Tech and the University of North Carolina.
Florida State captured its fourth ACC women’s indoor championship, all of which have come under current head coach Bob Braman since 2009. The Seminoles have placed first in the last three women’s championships held at Clemson – 2014, 2018 and this season – and their four total ACC titles rank third in league history.
