TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State volleyball team (6-1) will hit the road for the second time this season for the Omaha Invite in Omaha, Neb., where they will face Nebraska-Omaha (4-1) on Thursday and Nol. 17 Creighton (5-1) on Friday. Thursday's match will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Friday's match against Creighton beginning at 6 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live omavs.com. This will be the first time in program history that Seminoles have faced either of these teams.
The Noles are off to its best start since 2017 and will look to add to a four-game winning streak. At their home tournament, the Noles impressed with a 4-0 record while dropping just one set. The Noles offense has been impressive so far this season. As a team, the Noles are hitting .318 which leads the ACC and is eighth in the country. Leading that attack is sophomore Audrey Koenig who has a team-high 71 kills this season. Khori Louis is also off to a great start with 62 kills and a .463 hitting percentage
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Seminoles (5-1) made quick work of Yale (2-1) in their first-ever matchup in Tully Gym on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Bulldogs in three sets (25-15, 25-10, 25-25-11). In just six matches, the Seminoles have swept the three last opponents.
Head coach Chris Poole praised the team stating, “It was a really clean game. We did a good job handling everything they threw at us. I was really proud to see the way we played. It was the cleanest match that we played so far this season.”
The Noles came out with power in the first set, leading through every point. The offense was dominant, earning 12 kills on 25 swings and only one attack error. Five different Seminoles recorded a kill in the first set, led by Audrey Koening with five. The Bulldogs were unable to respond to the strength of the Seminoles, ending the set 25-15 with a kill from Emma Clothier.

The Noles will face Illinois State at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dayton at noon on Saturday and Cincinnati at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Sunday's match against Cincinnati will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Anthony Mazzini (Play-by-Play) and Melissa Luckey (Color) on the call. The Seminoles are looking to build off a 20-10 2021 campaign, which saw FSU win its first NCAA Tournament game since 2016. From the 2021 team, the Seminoles will return 80 percent of its block total and 76 percent of its kill total. Doors at Tully Gym will open at 5 p.m. with first serve set for 6 p.m. Fans will also be able to pick up a free 2022 schedule poster. Head Coach Chris Poole enters his 15th season as the leader of the Seminoles. Poole returns a solid group from last year's team which won the program's first NCAA Tournament game since 2016. Leading the group of returners is two-time All-American Emma Clothier. Clothier led the team in kills and aces and was second on the team in blocks last season.
