The Kerala High Court has stayed the FIR against the Vice-President of Nair Service Society (NSS), Sangeet Kumar for allegedly leading a protest over a remark by Kerala assembly speaker, AN Shamseer, on Lord Ganesha.
The NSS said that if the government fails to act against Kerala Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer’s ‘science vs myth’ remark, it would take legal recourse in order to protect the faith of the believers.
The decision was taken by a three-member selection panel comprising Chief Minister S Manikumar, Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan, and Speaker of Kerala Assembly AN Shamseer.
