The Kerala High Court on Monday sentenced all twelve men convicted for the political murder of TP Chandrasekharan to rigorous life imprisonment [KC Ramachandran v. State of Kerala].
The advocate alleged that Justice A Badharudeen's attitude towards him was inhuman, and discourteous and said that he was saddened and humiliated by the lack of fraternity and mutual respect expected from the Bench.
The Court observed that legal precedents, international human rights schemes and legislations make it clear that the right of an individual to decent and dignified burial remains inviolable and beyond question.
Justice PG Ajithkumar directed police to not arrest Aloor without giving notice as provided under Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
The accused allegedly posted a Facebook comment along with a photo of the Minister, which the State argued was intended to insult the Minister in connection with his visit to Sabarimala and create enmity based on caste.
